Traditional material for internal arrangement of the house – wood. Despite the fact that in the past couple of decades, windows with a plastic profile have been very popular, wooden windows still do not go out of fashion. Moreover, wooden windows became an attribute of the house of a successful person, where the situation is expensive and solid.
It is hardly necessary to say that synthetic materials are often harmful to humans. For example, polyvinyl chloride widely used for the production of plastic windows is not so harmful as it seems. For example, in the production of inexpensive profiles for stabilization of PVC at elevated temperatures, lead, extremely harmful to the human body, are added to it in small amounts. Of course, the amount of lead is negligible and cannot cause serious harm to health, but suffering from allergic reactions, asthmatics and children can be uncomfortable in the rooms in which there are window blocks made of polyvinyl chloride.
But there is no need to prove the environmental friendliness of wooden windows. The tree has been used by a person for several millennia and does not cause any harm. On the contrary, some wooden breeds create a special atmosphere in the house, saturating air with essential oils and phytoncides (first of all, this is characteristic of coniferous breeds).
Do not think that the functionality of wooden windows is lower than plastic. Today’s wooden windows are not like those used in the last century. They can have one – or two -chamber double -glazed windows, and the sash can open both in the vertical and horizontal plane. The thickness of the wooden window is quite comfortable for our climate and can reach 75 millimeters
